Bank safely: Watch for scammers
Scammers often try to exploit business transitions, like acquisitions and mergers. Before, during and after our conversion, please remember:
- We’ll never contact you to request or confirm confidential data like your account numbers or card numbers or ask for your full Social Security number.
- We’ll never request a live video call (e.g., FaceTime) to confirm fraudulent activity.
- We’ll never contact you to ask for your PINs, usernames, passwords or access codes.
If someone calls, texts, or sends email or mail claiming to be with your bank and asking for sensitive information—or if something simply doesn’t seem right—stop contact and immediately call us at 888-892-1693.

If there is a change in your branch access, we will contact you directly.
We’ve aimed to provide a new account type similar to your previous account type. For example: If you previously had Free Checking with eStatements, you now have UMB Free Checking. Your previous account type determined your new UMB account type.
We offer some accounts with no monthly service fees, while other accounts with additional features do have monthly service fees. For accounts with fees, we’ll waive the monthly service fee for the first service charge cycle after conversion to provide adequate time for you to meet balance waivers and evaluate your new account.
Depending on your specific financial goals, we have a variety of accounts to fit your needs. If you prefer a different UMB account type, you can work with a UMB personal banker to switch accounts or call 888-892-1693 for more information.
